Respite

Knowing your loved one is being cared for by dedicated, compassionate care providers, in a safe and friendly environment, provides tremendous comfort and relief. Families can draw comfort in knowing that their loved one is being well cared for by professional care providers who are certified in CPR, first-aid and disciplines supportive of an array of physical, emotional and behavioral needs.

Respite offers parents and caregivers an opportunity to take some time off from caring for their family member with a developmental disability. Families can use respite services to spend time with other family members, to perform simple chores or to just briefly relax.

Respite in no way means inactivity for the special needs individuals we serve. Recreational activities are planned according to their abilities and interests. Respite is also an opportunity to learn new independent living skills. Our Respite support is used by families as a way of helping the individual and the caregiver in preparing for future residential opportunities.
