Day Habilitation

Individual and Group Day Habilitation services offered by Alaska Premier are Home and Community Based Services that provide support for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities who need more individualized training to acquire, retain or improve socialization and adaptive skills which will improve their community experience, as well as other members of the community and the community, as a whole.

Day Habilitation offers participants the opportunity to learn new skills while also attaining greater independence. By enhancing awareness and heightening their sense of responsibility to successfully participate in the community, participants feel more productive in their individual lives.

Trained, direct care professionals teach the individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities we serve, who participate in Day Habilitation, to achieve their goals in a structured community setting. Day Habilitation lessons focus on developing personal living, decision making, vocational training, community integration, healthy living, improving self-confidence, exercising and socialization skills.
