Andre Walker

Andre Walker is the Co-Founder and Program(s) Administrator for Alaska Premier Assisted Living. Andre has always had a passion for helping people from a very young age. From growing up in a small town of Plymouth, NC where everyone was family, and everyone looked out for each other. Andre is from a family of five; mother, father and two siblings.  He PCS’d to Alaska in 1993 coming from Fort Campbell Kentucky home of the 101st Airborne Division.  Andre started working in the health care field in 2003. One of his most challenging and rewarding jobs was running a Therapeutic Group Home for boys, diagnosed with all different types of diagnose.  Andre expressed, “there was nothing better than seeing the smile on a kid face when you have helped him conquer some of their worst fears."

Working the with foster youth for 9 years has taught Andre some valuable lessons and helped him build the necessary skills that he has today to work with the population with Developmental Disabilities. For Andre this is not a job, it is a passion to make a difference in the lives of people who are too often overlooked.
